Thank you Jacinta Ardern for your example of kindness, generosity and compassion in government leadership.

You have chosen well to give your family life priority as your daughter grows up, for we only get one go to lovingly nurture our children. Soon enough they become teens then adults.

We look forward to your involvement in good government during the years ahead but in a less intense role, for there is much that can be done outside parliament to build effective relationships between the people and the MPs who represent them.
