Threats to kill don’t fix bad government
Millions of Aussies are justifiably angry about the many corrupt, incompetent, self-interested politicians and political parties who have been, bit by bit, for the last quarter century, stuffing up the government of our country, states and territories, for which so many Aussies are now suffering.
Fair go gone
The traditional Australian Fair Go for housing, health services, education, safety, crime control , justice, emergency services, city and bush have been cast aside. Highest earners pay lowest taxes so services are substandard or non-existent.
Unacceptable & ineffective
Threats to harm, kill or blackmail our elected MPs, are totally unacceptable as well as counter-productive. Penalties should be doubled. Threats scare off the really good potential candidates for election to parliament. MPs are our representatives, not necessarily our leaders. They are elected to do our bidding and they mostly will if we ask and explain what we want and why.
Ask and you will receive
If you don’t ask there is no chance of receiving.
The solution lies with the voters who have enormous influence, even individually. Votergrams, Voters Network and Voterlobby all enable individual Aussies to have their good ideas adopted by government and bad policies dumped by government. These facilities also allow any Aussie to get help on many personal issues, from some of the most powerful people in the country.
Responsibility
The real responsibility for bad government lies with the voters who have not realised that democracy is a form of government that depends on voter input. We elect representatives to represent us in a large meeting called Parliament, that runs government. For that to work we must tell ALL of our MPs what we want, because they decide almost everything by majority opinion of those interested. FairGO has provided Votergrams, Voters Network and Voterlobby to empower every Australian, without resorting to threats.
